Hartola is a small village, and Himtattva exists as part of it rather than beside it — employing locally, sourcing from nearby farms and markets, and pointing guests toward village guides, artisans and experiences whenever we can.
We see every stay as a small exchange: guests get an honest, unhurried window into Kumaoni village life, and that same tourism helps sustain livelihoods that might otherwise pull younger generations away from these hills.
